I was paired up with the lovely Christine of Cherishing a Sweet Life. It was so neat how close our blog names were. Clearly we both cherish our sweet lives. Family was obviously important to Christine, as one of the first things she talked about was her kids. This time of year is all about time with family and friends. The very presence of those we love. Sure the presents under the tree are fun and exciting, but it’s the presence around the tree that means the most.

Supplies:

  • round wood piece ( I got mine in a pack of 4 at Hobby Lobby)
  • white paint
  • paintbrush
  • saying printable here
  • modge podge or other sealer (I used a varnish I already had)
  • hot glue gun and glue
  • ribbon

1. Paint your wood piece with the white paint and let dry.

2. Print the saying here and cut to size for your wood piece. (hint, trace your circle around the saying to get your size.)

3. After your paint has dried, carefully spread some of whatever sealer you are using on the circle and carefully set your saying paper on top. Use your finger to gently spread out any air bubbles.

4. Now, carefully brush sealer all over the ornament. You may want to do a few coats to be sure your saying stays in place and everything is nice and sealed. Set aside to dry.

5. Once dry, cut a small piece of ribbon, loop, and hot glue to the back of the ornament.

Love that you used a printable instead of a Silhouette machine for those that don’t have one. Definitely a craft that anyone can do. Thanks for being part of the 2015 ornament exchange.
